100% On-Device OCR

ScreenCaptureKit captures a tight crop around your cursor, and Apple Vision runs OCR locally on your Mac's Neural Engine. Your desktop screen image never leaves your machine.

📖

Linguistic Card

Not just a flat translation: get pronunciation, CEFR level (A1–C2), word frequency, register (informal/formal/slang), and practical collocation sentences.

"Ask AI" in Context

Encountered a complex phrase or idiom? Click "Ask AI" right inside the HUD panel to get contextual nuances answered without leaving the app.

🗂️

All your lookups are saved in an on-device SQLite database. Search past queries anytime so you never have to re-translate recurring technical jargon.

🔑

Secure BYOK Model

Use your own free Groq API key (response times in 2–4s). The key is stored securely in your macOS system Keychain, never in plain text.

Installation & Setup

1

Download and drag to Applications

Download Lensy-1.0.0-beta.dmg and drag the Lensy icon into your Mac's Applications folder.

2

First launch (Right-click → Open)

Because Lensy is currently in independent beta without Apple's $99/yr notarization, macOS will show a prompt on first launch. Simply Right-click the app → choose Open.

3

Grant permissions & add free Groq key

Grant Accessibility (for hotkeys) and Screen Recording (for cursor OCR crop). Enter your free Groq API key from console.groq.com into Settings. Done!
